Construction of a 13,341 SF Ordinance Science Innovation Center (OSIC) and 10,952 SF Applied Computation Engineering & Science Facility (ACES) for a total of 24,293 SF of new construction. Both facilities are single story buildings with reinforced concrete foundations, slabs on grade and metal roofs with clerestories constructed to meet ATFP and blast resistance requirements. The facilities feature split-face concrete block, brick, and architectural precast over structural CMU and steel frames with sloped standing seam metal roofs.  Both the OSIC and ACES buildings contain administrative spaces, collaborative work areas, office spaces, conference spaces, kitchen areas, and large entry / vestibule areas. The ACES building includes construction of secure areas to include SAP Rooms meeting JAFAN 6/9 and ICS 705 Physical Security Standards for Sensitive Compartmented Information Facilities (SCIF) area, TEMPEST requirements, Special Access Program Facility (SAPF) Area, and access control security systems. Both buildings also required compliance with ATFP requirements and incorporated rated walls and ATFP stand-off distances. The project contains wet pipe fire sprinkler systems, mass notification systems, and access control systems. SCIF elements include card readers, dielectric unions, sound dampeners at HVAC duct, and duct man bars. Also included are furniture, fixture and equipment packages in both buildings that include a large number of systems work areas, furniture, and miscellaneous decorations. Site features include concrete stairs, ramps, and sidewalks, concrete access driveways, retention ponds, dumpster enclosure, mechanical yard with metal screen wall containing chillers, and landscape features.
